Mark is the Council Member for the Middle East and Africa of the Institution of Civil Engineers and Country Representative for the UAE.

His day job is Vice President of KEO International Consultants – a privately owned Kuwaiti firm headquartered in Abu Dhabi providing Masterplanning, Design and Engineering services as well as Project Management Consultancy and Construction Supervision. He is also the General Manager for KEO’s operations in Kingdom (KSA) responsible for pan divisional P&L and delivery. Previously Mark was Managing Director for KEO’s Project & Construction Management and Supervision Services across the GCC.

Prior to joining KEO, Mark spent 10 years with Turner Construction International and 17 years with Carillion / Tarmac (both in the UK and the Middle East).

A Civil Engineer with over 28 years’ global experience in construction and engineering Mark has delivered major construction projects from nuclear to rail and infrastructure to building megaprojects. Mark’s current ICE roles involve looking after the interests of the many ICE members resident or seconded into the MEA region as well as the 1000 members registered in the UAE where he remains the Branch Manager looking after a small development team that is supporting the Institution’s growth across the GCC region.

Mark is Chairman of Darjeeling Cricket Club, the oldest such club in Dubai and a Corporate Representative of the British Business Group, Abu Dhabi.
